1. How will AWO breaking off from USAW help wrestling for AL considering that AWO is scheduling events on same day and same city as USAW? Doesn't that put the kids and parents in a very tough position of choosing which one to register for?
2. Doesn't this division create less opportunities for kids to get good matches?
3. Why did AWO use a similar web address (alabamawrestling.org)? Was that done to trick parents that don't know better? Seems like an attempt to kinda steal the address..
4. Doesn't it make sense for all the "Leaders" to be on the same page to promote the best opportunities for our kids? This just seems like a bunch of big boy power struggle amongst grown men but being proposed as best for the kids..
5. Who should we choose? Which one is better? How will we know which tourney to enter in the same city on the same day?
Seems like this whole thing is hurting the kids. Who is it about? The kids or a bunch of grown men that want to be the king of the hill?

Confused parent of a child that loves wrestling that will not get to wrestle some other good wrestlers that he made friends with the last few years
I don't expect the leadership of AWO to answer any of these questions. In fact, to me, they mostly seem rhetorical.
My answers:
1. It doesn't.
2. Yes, it does.
3. AWO convinced the owner of the dot org site, Scott Allen, that it was in his best interest to side with them. The fact is that they did not steal the address, it was given to them. Was it done to trick the parents that don't know better? I don't know. Parents that don't know any better probably won't find the dot org site, or the dot net site. They might find the dot com site, but that has been parked for years.
4. There is a basic philosophical difference between the leadership of AWO and USA.
5. I can't answer that for you. I can tell you that the clubs that produced the most youth state champions, the most youth state placers, and the most youth state age group team winners will be at the USA tournaments.
We all grew up with those kids that thought they could make up rules because they owned the ball. And when they didn't get their way, they took their ball and went home. Those of us that stayed would, often, find a substitute ball and continue playing. This is not that much different. The former USA leadership continues to try to stand in the way of a successful season. If they had a better product to offer, they would not need to delete posts and attempt to silence their competition.
