Independence High School (Thompson’s Station, TN; Williamson County School System) is seeking applicants for a Head Wrestling Coach for the boys and girls wrestling teams. Applicants are strongly encouraged to search the Williamson County School System website (see link below) for current job openings. While it is preferred for the Head Coach to work within the system, it is not required. Notable accomplishments include: • Qualified for the TSSAA State Duals 9 of the last 13 years • Top 4 Finishes at the TSSAA State Duals and Individual Tournament • District Duals Champion or Runner up 11 out of 13 seasons • 6x TSSAA Individual Team or Dual Regional Championships • 6 TSSAA Individual State Champions • 43 TSSAA State Medal (23 boys, 20 girls) • 120 TSSAA State Qualifiers (95 boys, 25 girls) The Independence High School Wrestling program benefits from a strong feeder programs at the youth and middle school levels, wrestling booster club, and ongoing fundraising opportunities that average $30,000 per year. Monies raised offset the cost of sport participation fees, season travel, tournament registrations, off-season opportunities, and a capital campaign for building a wrestling room.
